Clear aligners FAQ
Clear aligners are custom-made, flexible and transparent plastic “mouth guards” that fit snugly over your top and/or bottom teeth. Due to the precision fit, they apply constant, gentle pressure to guide your teeth into the desired position.
A series of personalised aligners, made with precise 3D printing technology, are given to you over your course of treatment. Each custom-made aligner is uniquely designed and different from the previous one worn. This unique design concept means that the teeth move in small increments according to your personal treatment plan.
To make sure clear smile aligners are for you, we will book you a free smile consultation. We will listen to your wishes and concerns and assess your suitability for treatment. A digital 3D simulation of your expected result will be created, and you will be given a written treatment plan, the cost of treatment and an indication of treatment time. The whole process is meticulously planned to your satisfaction.
If you are happy with what you see, molds are taken of your teeth and 3 weeks later your personalised clear aligner treatment begins.
In order to guide you safely during your teeth straightening experience, we will see you every 4-6 weeks for review visits. In some cases, we might need to make small adjustments to the outside edges of the teeth to create room for them to gently move into their lovely straight position.
Every 2 weeks you will change to a new aligner in the series with an incremental difference to the previous. This change of aligner will be done from the comfort of your own home.
It depends on the correction you require and the complexity of the case, most cases can be completed in 5-9 months.
Clear aligners are thin and transparent, and as they fit in close contact with your teeth, most people will not notice them at a social distance.
You will need to remove your aligner before eating/drinking (apart from water).
The clear smile aligners have a precision fit and apply only gentle pressure. When changing to a new aligner, teeth can feel mildly tender. This usually subsides after a few hours.
The clear aligners have become very popular over recent years. One of the clear advantages is their “almost invisibility”.
With new technology and enhanced precision, they have become an effective method of teeth straightening.
They are removable and you will be able to clean and floss your teeth as normal. They can be used for minor corrections of one or two teeth as well as slightly more complex cases.
The clear aligners are suitable if you have teeth that are tilted, crowded or twisted.
They could also be suitable for anyone who has had teeth straightening in their teens, where the teeth have moved back through not wearing a retainer.
Once your teeth are in the desired position, we will place a very discreet fixed retainer to keep your teeth in place. Furthermore, we will provide you with a clear thin retainer to wear at night-time.
To further enhance your new smile, we include complementary whitening in your treatment package.

To produce your custom-made digital set up in accordance to your treatment wishes, we will take molds of your teeth to create your unique 3D treatment plan for you to view and only once you are satisfied, we will proceed.
We pride ourselves to work closely in conjunction with your wishes throughout your journey to a lovely and confident smile.
Clear smile braces FAQs
Clear smile braces use traditional teeth straightening techniques with new technology to reduce the treatment time and improve the appearance of the braces. Clear smile braces straighten upper and/or lower teeth with a gentle low force using transparent brackets temporarily glued onto your teeth. A white wire, made of shape-memory material, connects the brackets to create a soft force used to move your teeth to the desired position.
You can straighten one row of teeth, but sometimes you might need straightening of the opposite row in order to get the full benefit of stability in your new smile.
We always strive to give you the best possible outcome with the safest and shortest treatment time, so on occasion you might benefit from having one type of braces in one row and another type of braces in the opposite row.
To make sure clear smile braces are for you, we will book you a free smile consultation. We will listen to your wishes and concerns and assess your suitability for treatment. A digital 3D simulation of your expected end result will be created, and you will be given a written treatment plan, the cost of treatment and an indication of treatment time. The whole process is meticulously planned to your satisfaction.
If you are happy with what you see, molds are taken of your teeth and 3 weeks later your unique clear smile brace treatment begins with fitting of your personalized braces.
In order to guide you safely during your teeth straightening experience, we will see you every 4-6 weeks for review visits. In some cases, we might need to make small adjustments to the outside edges of the teeth to create room for them to gently move into their lovely straight position.
Treatment time can vary but most cases are usually completed in 6-12 months. With your full cooperation and maintaining good cleaning and care for your braces, the treatment will be completed in the shortest possible time.
Many of our clients are happily surprised by the invisibility of the braces. The wires are tooth coloured and the brackets are transparent, so the appearance is far less noticeable than traditional metal “train tracks” braces.
The clear smile braces will extremely rarely interfere with your speech.
If you are a “grazer” or like your regular sips of coffee or tea, this system is for you since you will not have to remove your braces before eating/drinking.
You can eat most things, however, to avoid damage to your braces and prolonged treatment time as a consequence, we recommend avoiding sticky and hard food such toffees.
A lot of clients love that the braces are fitted, and therefore “at work full time”, because it is a “fixed” brace, the system can exhibit more control over certain complex tooth movements and treatment time and cost can sometimes be shorten compared with other treatment options.
If you think you will forget to wear removable aligners, clear smile braces are for you.
If you are concerned about your appearance and have any of the following:
- Crooked or overlapping teeth
- A deep bite
- Front teeth that are sticking out or pushed back
- Gaps in between your front teeth
Then you are most likely suitable for clear smile braces.
Clear smile braces could also be suitable for anyone who has had teeth straightening in their teens, where the teeth have moved back through not wearing a retainer.
And not to forget, if you just want to be “on-the-go” and not worry about taking aligners in and out, you can also be a candidate for clear smile braces.
Once your teeth are in the desired position, we will place a very discreet fixed retainer to keep your teeth in place. Furthermore, we will provide you with a clear thin retainer to wear at night-time.
To further enhance your new smile, we include complementary whitening in your treatment package.

Inman aligner FAQs
The Inman Aligner is a removable brace that fits snugly over your front teeth. It uses a pair of spring-loaded clear plastic bars that exert gentle straightening pressure to the front and back of the teeth, effectively guiding the front teeth into the desired position.
This gentle pressure is very efficient in guiding teeth that are sticking out or pushing out those that are pointing inwards.
For best and quickest result, the Inman Aligner must be worn 20 hours a day and taken out when eating and drinking.
To make sure the Inman Aligner is right for you, we will book you a Free Smile Consultation. We will listen to your wishes and concerns, and assess your suitability for treatment. If the Inman Aligner is advisable for you, then you will be given a written treatment plan, the cost of treatment and an indication of treatment time. Moulds will be taken of your teeth and 2-3 weeks later, your personalized Inman Aligner is fitted.
In order to guide you safely through your Inman Aligner Experience, we will see you every 2-3 weeks for review visits. In some cases, we might need to make small adjustments to the outside edges of the teeth to create room for them to gently move into their lovely straight position.
Most cases are usually completed in 8-18 weeks.
Only a clear plastic bar is visible on the front of your teeth.
Your speech may be slightly affected, especially at the beginning, but every case is different.
In order to protect your personalized Inman Aligner, you will need to remove it when eating and drinking. Removal can be as fast as a few seconds with good practice. When it is removed, you can eat and/or drink anything you like.
The Inman Aligner applies only gentle pressure and is therefore kind and safe to the teeth. Some people experience slight initial discomfort, however this is usually only at the beginning of the treatment.
Since it addresses minor corrections, usually no teeth need to be removed to create space.
In most cases, it can remove the need for cutting away tooth structure in order to place veneers or crowns to correct misaligned teeth.
As the aligner is removable you will be able to clean and floss your teeth as normal. Should you have special occasions such as a party, a big celebration or sports activities, you can easily take it out.
The Inman Aligner is best suited for minor correction of the four front upper and/or lower teeth. If you have mild to moderate crooked teeth, you might be a candidate.
The Inman Aligner could also be suitable for anyone who has had teeth straightening in their teens, where the teeth have moved back through not wearing a retainer.
Once your teeth are in the desired position, we will place a very discreet fixed retainer to keep your teeth in place. Furthermore, we will provide you with a clear thin retainer to wear at night time. To further enhance your new smile, we include complementary whitening in your treatment package.

Invisalign FAQs
To make sure Invisalign is the right treatment for you, we will book you a free smile consultation. We want to understand your wishes and concerns and assess your suitability for treatment.
Photos and moulds of your teeth will be taken, as well as a digital analysis of your current position of your teeth. From this information, a predicted desired outcome is made.
Approximately 2-3 weeks later we will see you for a presentation of your virtual, 3D simulation of your treatment and end result. If you are happy with what you see, you will be given a written treatment plan, the cost of treatment and an indication of treatment time. The whole process is meticulously planned to your satisfaction. Once you are satisfied and happy, the aligners are manufactured and your Invisalign journey begins.
In order to guide you safely during your teeth straightening experience, we will see you every 4-6 weeks for review visits. In some cases, we might need to make small adjustments to the outside edges of the teeth to create room for them to gently move into their lovely straight position.
As with most clear thin aligners, Invisalign aligners are transparent and as they fit in close contact with your teeth, most people will not notice them at a social distance.
We recommend wearing your Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours a day. This will give you time to remove them for eating and/or drinking. Unlike clear smile braces, which are fixed braces, you can eat and drink anything you like when you have removed your Invisalign aligners.
The Invisalign aligners have a precision fit and apply only gentle pressure. When changing to a new aligner, teeth can feel mildly tender. This usually subsides after a few hours.
Every 1-2 weeks you will change to a new aligner in the series with an incremental difference to the previous. This change of aligner will be done from the comfort of your own home.
It depends on the correction you require and the complexity of the case, however most cases can be completed in 6-14 months.

Teeth whitening FAQs
This is a process that lightens discolorations or stains in the natural tooth structure.
We offer two types of whitening:
- Home whitening: you carry out the whitening process from the comfort of your own home using clear thin custom-made trays with a whitening gel. This is most often done as an overnight procedure whilst you are asleep.
The precise and snug fit of the trays is secured by taking moulds of your teeth. We provide you with a starter pack containing the special whitening gel and a demonstration of how to easily place the gel in your trays. Furthermore, we will give you full written instructions to take home. The starter pack comes with gel for 2 weeks, which is the average duration that people require for teeth whitening.
- 2. Enlighten Teeth WhiteningTreatment: this combines in-surgery whitening in an hour with home- whitening. After 2 weeks of home-whitening with special Enlightening tooth whitening gel, you have a final top up of whitening in the surgery to achieve your brilliant white smile.
Both systems take approximately 2 weeks, with daily overnight use. You might find that you achieve your desired whiteness in less than 2 weeks, in which case you can simply stop the treatment.
For best and quickest results, we recommend continuous use throughout the treatment. Should you be busy, or forget the treatment one night- no worries, you can stop and start the process as you desire.
Results vary from person to person, depending on genetics and starting colour of your teeth. With correct use, you should begin to notice whiter teeth within the first few days.
Tooth whitening has been around for approximately 50 years and has seen no evidence of damage, even at a microscopic level. Your teeth will remain just as strong and healthy as before the treatment.
We’ve never had a client complain that their teeth were too white following whitening treatment! People have different preferences for how white they would like their teeth. Since the whitening happens gradually, you can stop whenever you feel you have reached your desired shade of white. You are in control!
Over time it is common for teeth to appear darker due to the biological change in the tooth structure. This is un-avoidable, however certain lifestyle habits may be contributing factors and make teeth appear even darker than normal. These include:
- Regular red wine drinking
- Smoking
- Excessive coffee or tea consumption
- Certain types of medication
Generally, no. You may experience some light, temporary sensitivity during the treatment, but this usually disappears within 24 hours.
Whitening your teeth is an easily managed, non-invasive procedure which people claim is a huge confidence-booster. If you want to feel confident in your smile and colour of your teeth, we often suggest whitening either as a stand- alone treatment or part of a treatment package.
We offer FREE home whitening as part of our teeth straightening treatment plans.
As a stand-alone treatment, the home whitening package ranges from £358-415, whilst the ‘Enlighten In Depth Whitening’ comes as £695.
If you are over 18 years old, have healthy teeth and a healthy layer of enamel (the outside layer of your tooth), then you might be a candidate.
The great news is that there is no upper age limit!
The whitening effect can stay for years but it is not a permanent treatment. Due to the biological structural change within the tooth in time, teeth will gradually go darker. Lifestyle habits like smoking, drinking red wine, coffee and tea can also have a darkening effect.
In order to maintain your youthful look, you can do a top up in the trays you already have acquired.
Most people tend to top up with 1 or 2 nights every 6 months, but it all depends on what level of brightness you wish to maintain.
